Gail has always loved to draw and paint. She began taking pastel classes at the DeCordova Museum School eight years ago and fell in love with the medium. Gail enjoys both Plein Air and studio painting and is particularly drawn to the enchanting local landscapes of Massachusetts and those of Vermont where barns dot the countryside. She finds the medium of pastel quite magical, allowing her to achieve varying textures and a luminosity that is only achievable with pastels.
Gail’s work has been exhibited in juried shows at Concord Art, Arts Wayland and she was a contributing artist to Paint The Town at Concord Art in May 2016. She is a member of the Sudbury Art Association, Concord Art, Arts Wayland and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod.
